Jeannie Gordon’s work and dedication to the FLASH parent programme is truly inspirational. Having worked with Jeannie for many years, she is passionate, knowledgeable and parents find her incredibly supportive. I have delivered the FLASH programme to parents and professionals for over ten years and the feedback is always positive. Many parents report the FLASH programme as a lifeline and a safety net in times of great uncertainty. The programme empowers parents to strengthen their relationship with their young person and to provide them with the skills to help manage their young person’s self-harm. I have been incredibly impressed at how the programme has developed over the years, integrating knowledge and experience of those who use the programme. The recent adaptions to deliver the programme online and making adjustments for young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties, is demonstrative of how committed the authors are to the programme. I cannot recommend the FLASH programme (and Jeannie) more highly!

These links and handouts are extremely useful and the website is clear and easy to use. The online resources for STOP and PIT STOP have made life so much easier and parents have appreciated online copies too, easier to keep track of than paper handouts.

Jeannie has been incredibly supportive in the years following my original Flash training and I have really valued the space to discuss and explore group processes and challenges and to explore ideas about developing the flash groups.
